While at one point, Yahoo’s Jerry Yang may have looked like an entrenched founder unwilling to sell the company, Andrew Ross Sorkin writes in his latest DealBook column that it is now Microsoft that has those in the deal-making world wondering about its judgment.
Every argument that Microsoft has made regarding Yang and Yahoo’s ineffectual management can be made about Microsoft’s search efforts (and about Ballmer’s dismal performance as CEO). It’s time for Jerry to turn tables and offer to buyout Microsoft’s online division for, I dunno, say, $5B?
Giddiyap, Jerry.
